Social Media Executive

Whitenoise is currently looking for a Social Media Executive to continue to support our growing network of clients across Northern Ireland and Europe.

Who are we looking for? 

We are seeking a Social Media Executive to join our digital team, developing social media strategy, creating content and copywriting for client campaigns and posts. The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering social content for our clients focused on increasing brand awareness, engagement, audience growth, as well as driving traffic and revenue via social channels and other online platforms.

The ideal candidate will be both creative and analytical, work well under pressure, and be a great team player with excellent communication skills. You will be acutely socially aware and full of ideas, reacting first to social trends and initiating those best suited to our client’s audience and brand messaging.

The successful applicant will be a key team member primarily working in our Belfast office, supported by a wider team including SEO and PPC specialists and digital marketing specialists, plus our wider brand designers, videographers and animators. 

As a fast-paced multi-channel business, social media is not always a 9-5 role so it is expected that the candidate is comfortable with working some irregular hours as well as travel when required, although not foreseen in the first 6 months of employment.




The successful candidate will have the following:



  • A broad knowledge of design, video editing, social media copywriting
  • Experience using mobile creator apps and in app editing (Instagram story creation, TikTok editing, Facebook Creator Studio etc.)
  • Experience with Adobe Design Suite 
  • Confident communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • A passionate storyteller with experience in producing effective content on social media platforms
  • Uses social media daily
  • A clear, enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards content creation
  • A creative thinker with fresh ideas


  • Experience in product/people/PR focused photography
  • Experience with social analytics and social listening tools
  • Experience with paid social campaign management



Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for contributing towards social media management proposals and pitches for new and existing clients
  • Creating emotional, impactful, objective-oriented content for the brand through the use of videography and photography
  • Confidently using design, editing and copywriting writing skills for digital content
  • Producing multiple forms of digital assets (clips, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, copy, etc.)
  • Working with a wide range of assets and turning them into content assets built for individual platforms and audiences
  • Understanding trends in social media tools, applications channels, design and strategy
  • Monitoring effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns
  • Producing monthly social media analytics reports for clients and holding review meetings to decide actions for improvement over the coming months
  • Working to tight deadlines and taking both a proactive and reactive approach to current trends, events, and news
  • Any other duties role may involve

Salary: £18k Pro rata with increase according to experience
