A collaboration that elevates design accessibility in Northern Ireland

We are thrilled and honoured to announce our charity partnership for 2025 is with Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB). Our relationship with RNIB spans over ten years and we are privileged to have the opportunity to extend more support to the Northern Ireland team through volunteering resource, ideas and time - demonstrating our commitment to making a meaningful impact in our local community.

Over 2025 over team will work closely with the RNIB team to support their vital Northern Ireland programmes through innovative creative advertising efforts. Our goal is to create eye-catching campaigns that keep RNIB at the forefront of public consciousness, ensuring that their mission resonates with a wider audience. A highlight of our collaboration is the sponsorship of RNIB’s renowned “Tech for Life” fair, hosted in the Lisburn Lagan Valley Island Centre on 28th February. This event showcases groundbreaking technology designed to improve the lives of those with sight loss, offering the public the opportunity to test and purchase innovative products and connect as a community.

Furthermore, we are committed to mapping the course for accessible design in Northern Ireland. The Whitenoise team is dedicated to addressing the increasing demand for accessibility within the creative industry and we firmly believe that design and creativity should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also practical and accessible to everyone. This initiative will involve partnering on existing standards and developing new tools and models that will benefit the entire industry. By fostering a culture of inclusivity, we aim to inspire others to prioritise accessibility in their creative endeavours.

“RNIB Northern Ireland is delighted to have been selected to as Whitenoise’s 2025 Charity of the Year. To have the support from such an innovative, inclusive and forward thinking, local company is hugely beneficial in our mission to create the perfect world for blind and partially sighted people.

We have worked with Whitenoise for over ten years to create unique and memorable mechanisms for communicating our messaging and to be able to do this as their chosen charity this year is an honour.
We look forward to all the plans, ideas and ways Whitenoise and RNIB NI can work together this coming year to highlight who we are as a charity, who we support and to change the way people talk about sight loss.”

- Laura Cummings, PR and Communications Manager,  RNIB Northern Ireland

"This partnership with RNIB is an integral part of our 'Design for Good' activity and supports our commitment to providing creativity as a force for positive awareness. With over two million people in the UK living with sight loss, we are delighted to support RNIB in creating impactful and inclusive campaigns that amplify their vital work for those affected. Here's to a bright 2025!"

Clarke Duddy, Managing Director, Whitenoise

"Accessibility is more than a tick-box exercise, and partnerships like this combat the stigma that inclusivity limits creativity. While some still feel that inclusivity guidelines constrain final artworks, the focus is shifting to viewing accessibility as a challenge that inspires a return to visual problem-solving and user-focused design. Big thanks to RNIB for working with us to be better creative professionals and better people!"

Laura Smyth, Director, Whitenoise
