The next adventure for a family favourite
Pablo is a British-Irish children's television series developed by Paper Owl Films, premiering on CBeebies in 2017. The series follows the adventures of Pablo James, a five year old autistic boy, and his imaginary anthropomorphized animal friends, the Book Animals, who go on adventures in Pablo's 'Art World'.
Achieving global success, Pablo has been broadcast on channels and networks such as ABC Kids, Nat Geo Kids, CBC Kids, BBC CBeebies, Universal Kids, S4C and Netflix.
The highly anticipated third season is a reworked story, with Pablo now eight years old and entering the world of school, faced with new challenges and adventures. Early this year the Whitenoise team were commissioned to develop the brand identity for Pablo: Next Level for our friends at Paper Owl Films. The spin-off to the BAFTA-nominated original follows Pablo as he starts school and the show gently helps kids and parents appreciate neurodiversity with heart and humour.
Our remit was clear: craft a more mature identity that still feels unmistakably Pablo, scales across broadcast, digital and social, and equips partners with a robust, delivery-ready toolkit.
We partnered closely with Paper Owl Films from day one with co-creation workshops, shared moodboards and regular check-ins to ensure the developing identity felt true to the original show’s legacy and Pablo's identifiable warm and positive outlook.
Together with stakeholders from CAKE and Crayola Studios, we pressure-tested routes for accessibility, clarity and longevity so the work stands up on-air and online.
The result? A fun, colourful and bold reimagining for new and loyal audiences alike.
