Ards and North Down is a borough jam-packed with culturally important locations alongside unique and memorable activities, appealing to individuals, couples and families alike. Living in what is universally regarded as one of the most beautiful and nature-rich countries on earth, it's easy for us to take for granted our diverse landscape and the experiences it offers. Enter Whitenoise, Ards & North Down Borough Council’s appointed communications partner, tasked with marketing the area's wealth of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and diverse activities to visitors and residents who want to fully explore what’s right on their doorstep.
Founded on an appreciation for natural beauty, relaxation and great hospitality, our campaign focuses on all that is great about this beautiful borough. The campaign identity “Visit Ards and North Down for…” with interchangeable descriptors allowed for maximum versatility of visuals and placements. All design and video incorporates the council tourism identity, dual branded with Tourism NI for maximum reach and engagement. Building on our extensive library of visual content from previous campaigns, our in-house photographers, videographers and designers captured the rolling hills, unique history, memorable activities and welcoming people of this captivating place.
The campaign launched with a wide range of advertising, including owned-website takeovers, local press publications, a Visit Belfast takeover, organic social media, digital ads, YouTube, OOH 48 sheets and digital adshels in Belfast and border towns between NI and ROI, as well as national radio and Spotify coverage.
At the centre of our vibrant tourism campaign is the Visit Ards and North Down website, the go-to hub for everything to see and do in the borough, itinerary ideas, and offers for short stays and experiences, where visitors are quickly equipped with all the information they need to plan a memorable trip.
